Om detta evenemang

25th Grand Prix du Lausanne-Sports — Individual Scratch & Handicap, No Urethane. Approved by Swiss Bowling and the ETBF, organized by the Lausanne-Sports Bowling Club at Bowling Miami in Echandens (Vaud). Open to all licensed players of Swiss Bowling or a foreign federation; the license must be presented when paying the entry fee.

Discipline

  • Individual format with a scratch ranking and a handicap ranking. Urethane balls are not allowed.

Handicap

  • Based on the Swiss Bowling table as of December 31, 2026.
  • Foreign players without a Swiss average, and other players without an official average: handicap calculated on the first 4 games of the tournament, recalculated for each re-entry if applicable.
  • The qualifying handicap is kept for the rest of the tournament (semi-final and final).
  • Women receive 8 pins per game for the scratch ranking. This cannot be combined with the handicap ranking.
  • For participants without a handicap as of December 31, 2026, the handicap is adapted for each additional round.

Qualifying

  • 6 games (3 series of 2 games), American system: after each series, even lanes move 4 lanes to the right and odd lanes 4 lanes to the left. The movement may change if not all lanes are occupied.
  • Lanes drawn by lot before each round with the LEXER system.
  • Re-entries allowed, subject to lane availability.
  • Lanes are oiled before each round.

Semi-final

  • The top 16 scratch and the top 16 handicap players qualify for two semi-finals, with priority to the scratch semi-final. A player cannot take part in both.
  • 4 more games (2 series of 2), added to the 6 qualifying games counted at 50%. Lanes 1–8 handicap, lanes 9–16 scratch.
  • Ties: the player with the smallest difference between their best and worst game (including handicap) ranks ahead. If still tied, the best game decides.

Petersen final

  • The top 8 of each semi-final (scratch and handicap) play a Petersen final: 7 more games starting from zero. 20 bonus pins for a won match, 10 for a tie.

Players must be present 20 minutes before the start of their games and of the final phases.
