H*CUP 1st Stage 2027

1st Stage – H*CUP Individual Scratch / Handicap

From January 27 to 31, 2027 with re-entry – NO URETHANE.

Rules

This tournament, approved by the F.F.B.S.Q. and the E.T.B.F., is open to all male and female players in good standing with their federation (only French, German, Swiss and Belgian players). It is limited to the first 200 registered players. The current federal sports regulations apply. All disputes will be handled by the organizer.

A special prize will be awarded to the top 3 in each category at the end of the qualifying rounds, based on the combined scores from the two stages. Approximately €9,500 will be distributed across the 4 categories according to the number of participants registered over the two stages.

Format

Each player plays 6 games, moving 2/4/6 lanes every 2 games (odd lanes to the left, even lanes to the right). Limited to one re-entry only.

At the end of qualifying, rankings are made for women, men, handicap and seniors+. The first 2 women and the first 4 men scratch and handicap are protected from the quarter-finals. The 10 women scratch + first 2 (squads 1 and 2), the 22 men scratch + first 2 (squads 1 and 2) and the 22 handicap + first 2 (squads 1 and 2) qualify for the quarter-finals.

A Seniors+ semi-final and final will be held: the first 8 Seniors+ qualify, beyond the first 28 of the handicap category.

Women's final: two groups of four, lowest game eliminated until 2 remain per group, who then form a group of 4 played the same way. Men and handicap: 4 groups of 4, lowest game eliminated until one remains per group, then a new group of 4. Seniors+: 2 groups of 4.

Finals – Sunday, January 31, 2027

• Quarter-final 9:00 – 6 additional games, scores reset to zero: 10 women + 2, 22 men + 2, 22 handicap + 2 (squad 1 and 2)
• Semi-final 13:30 – match-play in pools: 6 women + 2 protected, 12 men + 4 protected, 12 handicap + 4 protected, 8 Seniors+ (not qualified in the top 28 handicap)
• Final 15:00 – match-play in pools: 4 women, 4 men, 4 handicap, 4 Seniors+
• Awards ceremony 17:00

Tournament cancellation

The organiser keeps the right to cancel the tournament if there are fewer than 170 registered players on 13/12/2026.
