Kykko Bowling Open 2027

Kykko Bowling Open 2027 – EBT Bronze tournament at Kykko Bowling, Nicosia (Cyprus), open to athletes from IBF member federations. Singles, mixed.

Women handicap: 8 pins per game (max women scratch game 292).

Qualification: 6 games (entries and re-entries). Desperado squad: 1 game.

40 athletes qualify for the final steps, in the order A-B-C-D:

• A: positions 1-28 in the qualification standing
• B: positions 1-4 in a separate standing for squads 3-5
• C: positions 1-4 in a separate standing for squads 6-8
• D: positions 1-4 in the desperado standing

Seeding: qualification 1-8 → final step 3; 9-16 → final step 2; the other 24 qualifiers → final step 1.

• Final step 1: 24 athletes, 4 games from scratch. Top 16 advance; the rest are ranked 33-40.
• Final step 2: 24 athletes, 4 games from scratch. Top 16 advance; the rest are ranked 25-32.
• Final step 3: 24 athletes, 4 games from scratch. Top 8 advance; the rest are ranked 9-24.
• Final step 4: 8 athletes, 4 games with pinfall from step 3 carried forward. Top 3 advance; the rest are ranked 4-8.
• Final step 5: stepladder. Match 1: seed 3 v seed 2 (loser 3rd). Match 2: winner v seed 1 (loser 2nd, winner 1st).

Tie rules. Qualification: highest last game, then second-last game, etc. Desperado and final steps: ties affecting qualification for the next step are broken by a 9th and 10th frame roll-off, repeated until broken; other ties in step 1 follow the qualification procedure.

Lanes: drawn by the tournament management; four athletes per pair; move after each game, two lanes (left-lane athletes move left, right-lane athletes move right).

Booking: max three squads booked before the tournament starts, of which max two on Friday and Saturday. During the tournament max three non-played entries. Total bookings unlimited; cancellations possible. Registration closes 20 minutes before each squad.
